Abstract
Eight species are recognised in the second part of a revision of Carmi chaelia. These are C. appressa, C. arborea, C. australis, C. hollowayi , C. kirkii, C. odorata, C. petriei, and C. williamsii. Carmichaelia a rborea is the earliest name for plants previously known as C. grandifl ora. Carmichaelia odorata includes C. angustata and C. glabrata in syn onymy, and C. australis is the earliest name for the widespread shrubb y broom which previous authors have segregated into numerous species, including C. aligera, C. flagelliformis, C. ovata, and C. robusta. Syn onymy, descriptions, distribution maps, habitats, variation, and illus trations are presented. Conservation status is discussed for C. appres sa, C. hollowayi, C. kirkii, and C. williamsii.
