Cm. Bhandari et Dm. Rowe, SEEBECK COEFFICIENT AND ELECTRICAL-CONDUCTIVITY IN SI-GE ALLOYS, Indian Journal of Pure & Applied Physics, 34(8), 1996, pp. 579-581
Various parameters have been used to define the thermoelectric worth o
f a material. Depending upon the temperature range of operation variou
s materials have been investigated and;their performance is maximized
with reference to variation in doping level, alloy disorder, grain siz
e and nature of carrier scattering. A study of the variation of the Se
ebeck coefficient with electrical conductivity provides some interesti
ng insight into thermoelectric performance of the material. These para
meters may provide an alternative scheme to categorise thermoelectric
materials.
