Abstract
A series of plutonium(VI) oxalates were synthesized. Electronic absorp tion spectra of these compounds in the crystalline state were recorded . The plutonium(VI) oxalates are isostructural with the similar uranyl compounds. Based on this fact, some relations between the structure o f plutonium(VI) oxalates and their absorption spectra were revealed. T he data on thermal behavior of simple plutonyl oxalate were refined.
