Abstract
The floodplain complex is considered as an independent type of ecosyst em. An attempt is undertaken to take into account the relationships an d interdependences of the concentrations of polluting metals (Cu, Zn, Pb, Ni, Cd, Cr, Mn) in parallel systems: soil-natural waters, sail-veg etation, water-vegetation, and water-bottom sediments. Biogeochemical research in the ecosystem is conducted by the method of ecoprofiles.
