Abstract
In spite of the radical changes in the delivery of health care, patien ts still need a high quality, professional individual relationship wit h their doctor. As modern medicine increases in complexity, this need becomes more crucial. It must not be eroded by pressures on time, manp ower restrictions or financial expediency.
