Abstract
This paper discusses features of the construction of a focal-array pho todetector (FAP) of the staring type, based on a HgCdTe photodiode arr ay hybridized with ''cold'' silicon photosignal-readout electronics by indium columnar contacts. Results are presented for a study of the ma in characteristics of 32 X 32- and 128 X 128-format FAPs. (c) 1996 The Optical Society of America.
