We derive and evaluate expression for the DC tunneling conductance bet
ween interacting two-dimensional electron systems at non-zero temperat
ures. The possibility of using the dependence of the tunneling conduct
ance on voltage and temperature to determine the temperature-dependent
electron-electron scattering rate at the Fermi energy is discussed. T
he finite electronic life-time produced by electron-electron interacti
ons is calculated as a function of temperature for quasiparticles near
the Fermi circle. Our results are in excellent agreement with existin
g experiments.
