We have measured the magnetoresistance measurements of a 2D electron g
as subjected to a periodic magnetic field created by the presence of t
ype II superconducting stripes on the surface of the heterostructure.
We observe oscillatory behaviour due to a commensurability effect betw
een the cyclotron radius and the period of the magnetic field. The res
ults can be understood in terms of a simple semi-classical theory.
