The magnetoresistance of a two-dimensional electron gas in the presenc
e of magnetic fields applied parallel to or slightly tilted from the p
lane of the confined electron gas is described. It is argued that the
magnetoresistance dependences are strongly influenced by a Hall field
across the electron gas plane, which is controlled by the in-plane com
ponent of the magnetic field.
