Mv. Marquezini et al., STUDY OF TEMPERATURE-DEPENDENT EXCITON DYNAMICS IN A SINGLE-QUANTUM-WELL WITH SELF-ASSEMBLED ISLANDS, Surface science, 362(1-3), 1996, pp. 810-813
We present an investigation of the exciton dynamics in a single quantu
m well with self-assembled islands. We combine continuous-wave and tim
e-resolved luminescence measurements as a function of the temperature
to obtain quantitative information on the recombination processes in t
he well. The obtained radiative recombination times indicate that exci
tons are localized at low temperatures, We also discuss the evidences
of inter-island transferring of excitons.
