By using a low-held magnetic field modulation technique we are able to
detect gate current oscillations in a 1D-laterally modulated two-dime
nsional electron gas in the magnetic held range where Weiss oscillatio
ns occur, The experimental results can be qualitatively well explained
by a simple analytical expression for the density-of-states at the Fe
rmi energy.
