Abstract
The paper presents calculations of the rate of energy diffusion in the electron beam due to quantum fluctuations of undulator radiation. The cases of a helical and a planar undulator are considered. Universal f itting formulae are obtained valid for an arbitrary value of the undul ator parameter.
