Abstract
Changes in cell volume, chlorophyll a fluorescence, cell viability, pe roxidase activity, intracellular pH, and cytoplasmic and mitochondrial membrane potential of the marine diatom Phaeodactylum tricornutum str essed by copper were analyzed by flow cytometry. Results demonstrate t hat flow cytometry is a very useful tool in microalgal functional stud ies.
