Abstract
A new approach to the theory of salt crystallization on metals in the presence of heat transfer is developed on the basis of the revealed ef fect of self-retardation of scale growth at early stages. The rates of formation of crystallization centers, their growth, and the velocity of the front of overgrowth of the heat-transfer surface with a primary layer are determined experimentally.
