The temperature dependence of the selectivity and filtration flow rate
of reverse-osmosis polyamide membranes modified by various liquid cry
stals with crown-ether (dibenzo-18-crown-6) microadditives is studied.
The effects of two distinct modification methods on the membrane perf
ormance were evaluated and discussed. The measurements of selectivitie
s and filtration flow rates were performed on electrolytic solutions o
f NaCl and KCl.
