K. Muramoto et al., ANALYSIS OF THE HEMOLYMPH-PROTEINS FROM THE ACORN-BARNACLE MEGABALANUS-ROSA BY 2-DIMENSIONAL GEL-ELECTROPHORESIS, Fisheries science, 62(3), 1996, pp. 435-438
The hemolymph proteins of the acorn barnacle Megabalanus rosa were sep
arated by two-dimensional gel electrophoresis. More than 50 proteins w
ere observed in the region of acidic (pl: 4-7) with masses of 18-120 k
Da. The proteins separated on the gel were electroblotted onto a polyv
inylidene difluoride membrane and were sequenced. Several major protei
ns were further characterized by amino acid analysis and peptide mappi
ng, and identified to be multiple lectins.
