Abstract
We describe a case of coronary stenting in which accidental detachment of the Palmaz-Schatz stent induced thrombotic occlusion of the corona ry artery, This case suggests that careful consideration of the risk i nvolving coronary occlusion is mandatory on deciding the therapeutic s trategy of the cases in which the unexpanded coronary stent cannot be retrieved following unsuccessful deployment.
