Vm. Valyashko et Ma. Urusova, HYDROTHERMAL PROCESSES OF CRYSTAL SYNTHESIS, POWDER SYNTHESIS, AND WATER-TREATMENT, Theoretical foundations of chemical engineering, 30(1), 1996, pp. 37-43
The physicochemical foundations and problems for the application of hy
drothermal processes for manufacturing monocrystals and finely divided
powders, as well as for destroying harmful wastes by the method of su
percritical water oxidation, are considered. An analysis is made to sh
ow that the most common and pressing tasks are modeling complex equili
bria and obtaining reliable experimental data on the properties of hig
h-temperature solutions. The recent achievements in the held of thermo
dynamic calculations and experimental techniques and investigations fo
r hydrothermal systems are briefly reviewed.
