Abstract
Using phosphazene base, P-4-t-Bu or basic phase-transfer catalyst cond itions, vinyl sulfones were regiospecifically alkylated at the alpha-p osition, No beta-elimination products were observed in a system capabl e of undergoing anion-promoted beta-elimination. The scope and limitat ions of these reactions were studied. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Scie nce Ltd
