Illicit use and traffic of COCAINE has increased in European countries
. It has become absolutely necessary to intensify analytical work and
give more detail information to national authorities. Illicit cocaine
sometimes contains other local anesthetics not subject to abuse contro
l, and occasionally suspected cocaine is found to consist exclusively
of the latter. The aim of analysis is to use a method which provides h
igh sensitivity, optimum separation and irrefutable identification of
al compounds. Ideally, the analysis itself should be performed in one
run. So we used TLC, GC, UV and GC/MS, to solve such a problem.
