Abstract
For stable operation of a motor with a large output torque, the circum
ferential second-mode of the longitudinal vibration was used for a mod
e rotation type ultrasonic motor. The vibration components at the driv
ing surface and the transformation ratio from the PZT elements to the
mechanical output were investigated through the mode analysis. The sta
tor transducers were made and examined.
