A theoretical study on the application of the first cycle of alternati
ng current to cylindrical microelectrodes is presented. The analytical
expressions obtained here are applicable to electrodes with radii of
up to 50 mu m, which are in the range of ''large'' microelectrodes. A
method for determination of the kinetic parameter k(s) independently o
f alpha and methods for calculation of E(0) are proposed.
