APPLICATION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE YOUDEN ANALYSIS IN THE INTERCOMPARISON BETWEEN FLOWMETER CALIBRATION FACILITIES

The Youden analysis commonly used in the intercomparison between flowm eter calibration facilities is discussed in this paper. According to t he theory of probability and theory of errors, an improved statistical analysis method based on the Student's I-distribution, which can be u sed to calculate the Youden circle, is suggested by the authors. It sh ould be expected that the statistically analytical results of the inte rcomparison by use of the improved method would be more accurate and r eliable. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd.
