Abstract
This research develops a method for the study of diffusion in granular materials such as sand, seeds, and gravel. The proposed method is bas ed on modulation of the longitudinal magnetization by using spin-taggi ng. It is shown that changes due to flow and diffusion manifest themse lves as distortions of initial magnetization profiles and can be used to calculate the density probability function.
