Abstract
The presence of chaos has been revealed in several cerebral activities at the level of Central Nervous System (CNS) correlated with mental a ctivities involving mnestic processes. The theories of some researcher s in this field are of particular interest because they propose intere sting hypotheses on the role of chaotic phenomena in mnestic processes , which involve a new useful re-reading of the experimental-theoretica l concepts of Short-Term Memory (STM) and Long-Term Memory (LTM) syste ms.
