Abstract
Background The endocoagulation of the retina prior to a retinotomy in the upper 180 degrees is difficult using straight endodiathermia probe s. Description of a New Instrument We developed a new angulated endodi athermia probe. The angulation is close to the coagulating tip. This n ew instrument facilitates the coagulation in the upper 180 degrees of the retina.
