The reaction of K2Te4 with different stoichiometries of [Cr(CO)(6)] an
d 2,2,2-crypt ,21,24-hexaoxa-1,10-diazabicyclo[8.8.8]hexacosane) in en
(ethylenediamine) gives dark brown plates of [K(2,2,2-crypt)](2)[Cr(C
O)(5)Te-3]. 0.5C(2)N(2)H(8) and orange needles of [K(2,2,2-crypt)](2)[
{Cr(CO)5}Te-2(2)] which are characterized by X-ray crystallography and
IR spectroscopy.
