Abstract
The biohydroxylation of 1-substituted adamantanes using Absidia cylind rospora in a whole-cell oxidation system exclusively generated 3-hydro xy and 4(ax)-hydroxy derivatives; the assignments were confirmed by th ree X-ray crystal structure determinations.
