Ds. Sergeyev et Vf. Zarytova, INTERACTION OF BLEOMYCIN AND THEIR OLIGON UCLEOTIDE DERIVATIVES WITH NUCLEIC-ACIDS, Uspehi himii, 65(4), 1996, pp. 377-402
Interaction of antitumor glycopeptide antibiotic bleomycin with nuclei
c acids are examined. Equilibrium binding constant data obtained vario
us physico-chemical methods are collected and compared. Contributions
of N- and C-terminal domains of glycopeptide molecule to binding with
DNA and sequence-specificity of DNA cleavage are discussed. The data o
f the recently created compounds bleomycin-oligonucleotide conjugates
are given. This conjugates possess simultaniously DNA-cleaving activit
y of antibiotic (in catalytic manner also) and high selectivity to cho
sen nucleotide sequence.
