In response to opened-ended question on the future of management, the
members of Organizational Dynamics' editorial board cited a cluster of
concepts that will give new weight and credibility to the idea that '
'human resources are a company's most valuable asset.'' Concepts inclu
de high-performance work systems, insourcing as a counterpoint to outs
ourcing, new forms of psychological testing to predict performance, an
d a packaging and alignment of human resource policies and practices t
o focus employees' efforts on the needs of the business.
