Lc. Mur et al., EXPERIMENTAL INDICATION FOR SUPERCURRENTS CARRIED BY OPENED TRANSPORTCHANNELS, Physical review. B, Condensed matter, 54(4), 1996, pp. 2327-2330
Electrical-transport properties of mesoscopic junctions consisting of
a ballistic two-dimensional electron gas coupled at two sides to overl
aying superconducting contacts are presented, The properties suggest t
hat, despite the presence of transport limiting barriers in the sample
, supercurrents are carried by a few modes that have near-unity transm
ission probability. We can qualitatively account for the presence of t
hese resonances by the theory of disorder-induced opening of tunnel ch
annels.
