Abstract
There are two crystallographically independent but chemically equivale nt molecules present in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C14 H12N2O3S. There are no unusual intra- or intermolecular distances or a ngles. The crystal packing is dominated mainly by hydrogen bonds and a ll rings in the molecules are essentially planar.
