Abstract
The title compound, alpha-D-ribofuranosyl)-2,4(1H,3H)-pyrimidinedione, C16H14N2O6, is an alpha-nucleoside analogue. The glycosyl torsion ang le [O4'-C1'-N1-C2 -76.9(6)degrees] has a syn conformation, The sugar p uckering is O4'-endo/C4'-exo, with pseudorotation parameters theta(m) = 19.8 and P = 61.0. The exocyclic C3'-C4'-C5'-O5' torsion angle is ga uche-trans [177.1(6)degrees]. The pyrimidine N3 atom forms a hydrogen bond with the O4 atom of a symmetry-related molecule.
