Abstract
We have performed an experiment on sonoluminescence in liquid heavy wa ter. We have verified that sonoluminescence takes place with air bubbl es as well as with D-2 bubbles in heavy water (98.5% D2O). No radioact ivity originating from the phenomenon has been observed.
