Abstract
New advances in metal halide ballasting in combination with improved l amp design make possible substantial improvement of lumen maintenance and color stability. Some of the new systems use magnetic regulation i n combination with high voltage pulse starting to achieve such results . This paper will discuss how to improve performance of metal halide l amps operating on different pulse start ballast systems.
