Abstract
This paper reports on the scale model photometry techniques in accorda nce with the guidelines developed within the CIE TC 3.19 task work. Th is paper describes the development of new techniques in scale model ph otometry for both quantitative and qualitative evaluation of day-light ing systems. Selection of model size, surface materials, size of detec tors, simulation techniques of lighting conditions, and photometric me asurement procedures are discussed and their applications are presente d. The use of scale model photometry techniques and accuracy predictin g interior space lighting conditions are also discussed. A new techniq ue using video simulation and video luminance scanning systems is intr oduced in order to analyze the luminous environment and the dynamic ch anges of natural light using scale models.
