Abstract
We show through sequence analysis of rearranged immunoglobulin variabl e (Ig-V) region genes from memory B cells of mouse mutants generated b y gene targeting that terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase, CD23, int erleukin-4, IgD and CD30 are dispensable for somatic hypermutation.
