Abstract
Non-uniform staining of electrophoretically separated polypeptides is one of the major problems in the assessment of their homogeneity. In t he present communication we report the example of such behavior of hum an erythrocyte membrane and cytoskeleton proteins, stained with Coomas sie brilliant blue R-250, Silver nitrate, and Periodic acid-Schiff's ( PAS) in reduced denaturing gels.
