Abstract
We discuss the application of the direct Monte Carlo method to the the ory of cluster formation. Fractal relationships for the kernels appear ing in the Smoluchowski equation are implemented in this method and th e scaling behavior of the kernels is investigated using computer simul ation. We study the effects of cluster disintegrations and also invest igate the effects of ''magic'' numbers in cluster formation. (C) 1996 American Institute of Physics.
