Abstract
Surgeons should be aware of the brachial plexitis syndrome in order to properly make an early diagnosis and educate the patient and his fami ly on the etiology of this syndrome. It is characterized by the acute onset of shoulder pain, weakness, and paralysis in patients following a variety of surgical procedures.
