Abstract
Gel monoliths were prepared in the system TEOS-H2O-CH3CN by pyridine-m ethyl ether treatments. By this treatment, a drying rate of 0.7 g/h wa s achieved which is five times faster than for the non-treated gels (0 .13 g/h), while maintaining their monolithicity.
