Abstract
A method for structural synthesis with reliability constraints under s ervice conditions is presented. Uncertain structural parameters and va riables are considered. Constraints are imposed on system reliability. Optimization is carried out by generating and solving a sequence of e xplicit approximate problems. An example problem illustrates the metho dology set forth.
