Technology was developed for fabrication of a calcium sensor on the ba
sis of a field-effect transistor with a Ta2O5 gate, a poly(vinyl chlor
ide) membrane based on di-n-octylphenylphosphoric acid and its calcium
chelate, and an intermediate polymer coating. The sensor has operatin
g characteristics similar to those of a calcium-selective electrode wi
th similar membrane composition and is not sensitive to pH in the 5-9
range. The service life is no less than 4 months.
