M. Motoyama, MORPHOLOGY OF BINARY-MIXTURES WHICH UNDERGO PHASE-SEPARATION DURING CHEMICAL-REACTIONS, Journal of the Physical Society of Japan, 65(7), 1996, pp. 1894-1897
When a chemical reaction such as A reversible arrow B takes place simu
ltaneously with a macrophase separation, mesoscopic structures similar
to the patterns emerging during microphase separation appear. Since i
n a chemical system we can easily control the concentrations of the tw
o species and reaction rates and so on, a greater variety of domain mo
rphology is expected. We demonstrate same of the new morphologies by c
omputer simulations.
