Abstract
Five coordination compounds of tosylhydrazide (TSH) with Ni(II) and Pd (II) were prepared and characterized by elemental analysis and spectro scopic data. Ni(II) is in pseudo-octahedral, whereas Pd(II) in square planar surrounding in these complexes, and TSH coordinates by means of the NK2 moiety. The new derivatives proved to be dual, relatively str ong carbonic anhydrase inhibitors, of the non competitive type.
