FLUTTER OF A VISCOELASTIC PLATE

The problem of the dynamic stability of a rectangular viscoelastic pla te (strip) around which there is a dow from one side of a plane-parall el stream of an ideal fluid is considered in a classical formulation. The loading is determined within the framework of piston theory. Atten tion is paid mainly to investigating the effect of low viscosity on th e value of the critical parameter.
