Abstract
Demethyl salvicanol, a novel rearranged 9(10-->20)-abeo-8, 11, 13-trie ne diterpene, has been synthesize for the first time. The zinc-promote d coupling reaction of benzyl bromide with ketone and the alkylation o f ketone with iodide are the key steps. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Sc ience Ltd
