Abstract
A novel primary-side dimming control driver for cold-cathode fluoresce nt lamps (CCFLs) is investigated theoretically and experimentally. Thi s new topology successfully solves the uneven sensitivity of dimming c ontrol, and the problem of uneven illumination in a two-lamp system. I n particular, the circuit is simple, has a low component count and is highly efficient.
