Abstract
The thermal degradation of copolymers of phenyl methacrylate (PMA) and styrene (ST) was studied by thermal volatilisation analysis (TVA), th ermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential thermal analysis (DTA) . The main pyrolysis products have been identified and the characteris tic of the reactions discussed. Mechanisms have been proposed to accou nt for the products formed.
