POLYSULFIDE BASED COATINGS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL-PROTECTION

Polysulfide coatings are used in a wide variety of environmental prote ction applications. The suitability of these coatings for such applica tions is explained by reference to the chemical structure of the polys ulfide polymer. A description of the different cure chemistries availa ble to these coatings is given. The benefits of using polysulfide poly mers as modifiers for epoxy and alkyd coatings are also discussed.
